BIKE PARKING

  • Giant on MD 410 has bike parking but it is not well signed and it's isolated location away from main store entrance limits use (by the trash storage area next to Jerry's.
  • P.G. Plaza Mall needs parking by all major mall entrances. Target has a bike rack (lisa grob)
  • Franklins -- There is a bike rack at the northernmost narrow point of the parking lot to the north of Franklins. It is just south of the bypass just before the start of the bypass bridge. It appears to be leaning significantly and may have been damaged by a snow plow or car backing into it (from my drive-by viewing)
  • City Hall -- existing rack couldn't hold bikes for our meeting, was hard to find for some (wasn't by entrance).
  • Elementary, Middle, High Schools Hyattsville Middle has a bike rack in the grassy area in the center of the building.
  • Magruder Park has parking but it's not signed well, hard to find.
  • Hamilton shopping at Queens Chapel area -- has limited parking.
  • Home Depot – isolated but ample along MD 410 by the display sheds.
  • West Hyattsville Metro – lockers and racks.
  • P.G. Plaza Metro – lockers and racks.
  • Hyattsville Library – racks near Adelphi Rd and parking lot entrances
