Eyecare Center of Maryland
The Eyecare Center of Maryland, founded in 1954 by Dr.
Stanley Tempchin, is a full scope optometric practice located in
the Hyattsville/College Park section of Prince George’s county
Maryland. Dr. Norman Shedlo, a 1999 graduate of Nova
Southeastern College of Optometry, joined the practice in 2000.
Dr. Shedlo purchased the practice in August, 2004.
Our friendly and helpful staff are dedicated to helping indiviuduals
and professionals in different occupations achieve the best possible
vision and comfort for work and leisure using glasses, contact lenses and
laser vision correction.
In addition we provide thorough eye examinations and advice to
make sure optimal eye health is maintained for life. In achieving
these goals, it is often necessary to dispense different types of
eyewear prescriptions. It is our priority to make sure every
individual who requires prescription eyewear, is fitted with the
highest quality and most fashionable eyeglass frames available,
not only to enhance acuity and visual comfort but to enhance
appearance and self confidence as well.
